Atisha’s Refuge Prayer

སངས་རྒྱས་ཆོས་དང་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་མཆོག་རྣམས་ལ།

བྱང་ཆུབ་བར་དུ་བདག་ནི་སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆི།

བདག་གིས་སྦྱིན་སོགས་བགྱིས་པའི་བསོད་ནམས་ཀྱིས།

འགྲོ་ལ་ཕན་ཕྱིར་སངས་རྒྱས་འགྲྲུབ་པར་ཤོག།།

It seems that the first line is abbreviated –

སངས་རྒྱས་ཆོས་དང་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་མཆོག་རྣམས་ལ།

སངས་རྒྱས : sang gye : Buddha

ཆོས : chö : Dharma

དང : dang : and

ཚོགས : tshog : assembly

ཀྱི་མཆོག : kyi chog : supreme

ཚོགས་ཀྱི་མཆོག : Supreme Assembly, Noble Sangha

རྣམས་ལ : nam la : to all

The first two lines of Atisha’s refuge prayer are one sentence (I’m not sure if this is grammatically correct but it is semantically correct). This first line sets up refuge and the next line completes it.
